Emails To Us After Kitty Leaves Us

Mary,

I really hope you're doing well.
Harley is getting so big-and he's still filling our
hearts with lots of love. He's really learned to rub
all over stuff in the morning showing his love and
affection to me when I get up. He stays in the
bathroom with me while I shower and get ready for work
talking to me the entire time. Of course I have to
stop and pick him up and love him back-which results
in me rushing to work. He rubs on Trounce and sleeps
with Fritz during the day. I'll find the two cats
sleeping together in the sunshine when I visit on my
lunch break. Someone knocks on the door and Harley is
the first to go running as if he were the watch dog of
the house. We had a house full for a BB-Q and he was
social with everyone....sniffing as if asking who they
were and where they were from. My husband and I just
adore our "Little Harley Boy."
I have some new pics to send-will do that this
weekend.  Mary, he's so
beautiful-from his coloring to his heart. You have
such wonderful fur-babies!
Love,
Harley's Mommy

Hello Mary, I have been so bad about staying in touch...time just slips away when things get busy, you know?Lucey is awesome!!! She has gotten very brave. She has ventured all over the house, usually looking for me. She loves to sleep with me, purring and rubbing on my face (biting my earrings!). When I am at the bathroom sink getting ready in the morning, she is always sitting at my feet. She has come a long way from not wanting to come out of my closet! Her health check was terrific! Passed with 100%.Lucey is a little "princess". A riot to watch! I'll have to get you some current photos of Lucey and her new home. We so love her, and now that she is getting comfortable in her home she is loving us, too.I hope all is well with you, Mary. Have all the kittens been placed in good homes?Take care, Loretta

THE GIRLS ARE JUST FINE.  WE'VE SPOILED THEM, OF COURSE, BUT WE ARE REALLY ENJOYING THEM SO SO MUCH.  THE LARGER ONE IS SU-SU AND THE BABY IS WHEEZIE!  ANYWAY, I WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED ON THEIR PROGRESS. THEY SLEEP WITH US AND ARE STILL EXPLORING THE HOUSE.  WE FOUND THEM IN A CLOSET THE OTHER DAY ALL CURLED UP.  THEY ARE ALWAYS TOGETHER, SO I'M GLAD THEY HAVE EACH OTHER. ANYWAY, I'LL BET YOU MISS THEM, BUT KNOW THEY''RE LOVED VERY MUCH! OUR BEST.....KEN & CATHY

We are home safe and sound.  The ride went well.  He meowed for a while and then he fell sound asleep. We set him up in our bedroom and he is again sleeping.  He is so beautiful.  I suspect that tomorrow he will be very inquisitive. We will keep you posted.  Thank you for sending us home with all of the goodies!  It really helped.  I am glad that we will have the whole weekend to be together.  Tell his whole family that he loves all of you. Thanks, Janet

Sami has stold everyones heart here exspecially mine . Last night I did not get much sleep he has picked me to be his mommy he had to sleep on my chest and give me kisses on my lips all night long he is a sweetheart . He eats when I give him the milk with food which I will continue to do three times a day. I think he is adjusting well. The car ride home was fine after about ten minutes he fell asleep.  Again I want to thank you we all just love him to death. He will definetly bring lots of joy to our family. Take Care, Jeanne

We just wanted to let you know what a cutie our Rudy is. He was born on June 25th and we bought him from you on August 29th. He had literally stolen our hearts. He has just a wonderful disposition and temperament and we love him to pieces.

Have a wonderful holiday season. Jackie and Ross

We just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you again for giving us the opportunity to bring such a wonderful, adorable, sweet kitten into our home and hearts. we are having so much fun with her! we've decided to name her "olivia", though we will probably call her "ollie" most of the time. she's adjusting well and already knows where her food and litter box are. last night she slept on the pillows above our heads! We will keep you updated!  It was very nice to meet you! Thanks again, Rachel and Doug

Satra has been such a great impact on our life!  He sleeps with us every night, plays every night before we fall asleep, and even wakes Missie every morning while letting me get a little more sleep.  So nice of him.  He's been such a bundle of joy for us and we are so happy that we have such a wonderful siamese like Satra.  Here are some pictures of him.  Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

She is just fine.  She has adjusted well.  She is not afraid of our dog.
The dog just wants to play with her all the time.  We have spent a lot
of money on toys & such.  So, needless to say, she is quite spoiled
already.  She likes hanging out on our recliner.  When she gets really
restless, she climbs up on Brian's shoulder, or my chest to sleep.  We
really love her!Thank you, Christie

Everyone here is fine and the kittens are both turning into little love bugs.  They both are doing well and are still gaining weight from the kitten milk. We were wondering what kind of treats that you give your kittens because we want to start training them to do tricks! The boys are full of confidence and LOVE.  They run all over the house now and don't mind the shelties too much.  The shelties are polite and don't chase them or anything so the boys can spend some time observing and learning what they are about.  One of the things I just love about them is that little chirpy sound they make.  The other day I called Toby's name and he responded with that sound and ran over to me and my husband, he then began some serious purring, head butting and rubbing. We both were petting him and he just threw himself into getting all that attention and love.  It's so funny to have all that love and inteligence come from that little body!  I enjoy talking about the "boys"!  They really are so sweet and full of love........thanks again! Cheryl

We made it back safe to Ohio. My wife is very happy and excited about our new family member.  He cried for about the first five minutes on the way home, then he fell asleep on my lap.  He slept more on the couch with my wife and I and purred.  He is so cute. Thanks again for all of your help.  Have a happy new year. Jeff and Angela

Harley is just a blast. He's really adjusted well-more so than I thought with my other cat and the big ole dog we have. He runs from one of the house to the other- sleeps in bed with us-purrs in themorning when he wakes up. He sleeps in the kitchen on the register vent-comes downstairs on his own in the morning and goes straight to the kitty liter. I can tell that he's grown just in the last week-he looks like his torsoe has grown longer. I sat down and trimmed his little nails last night and just allowed him to tolerate what he could and took my time. He likes to play with Trounce (under supervision of course) and Trounce looks for him to play with. You really show your love and pride and who you pick to be mommies of your kitties. I feel most greatful to have one and that you trusted me enough to adopt one. I'll send more pics this weekend. Love, Harley's Mommy

Our little Mystic seems to have grown a bit.  I made a movie of her, but don't have any new still photos.  Her curiosity is boundless, and there are few places in the house where she has not explored. Mystic is extremely friendly, and lets all of our guests pick her up, pet her, etc.
She has three hobbies: sleeping, purring, and playing.
Her veterinarian pronounced her "very healthy" on her first visit.  Her weight was recorded as two pounds, four ounces.  Four ounces doesn't seem like a lot but it is a 12.5% weight gain.
We've trimmed her claws once, and she tolerated that procedure very well.  No cuts or errors, thank goodness.
We took her off the kitten milk substitute and she seems to be eating very well.
The other morning, before the alarm went off, I was awakened by the sound of purring next to my ear.  I have never awakened so peacefully with a smile on my face like that before. Be glad to refer anyone who is interested.  You may feel free to use us as references, too.
Needless to say, the little imp has wormed her way into our hearts.  She'll be a wonderful member of our home all her life.
Gordon and Linda

Hi Mary,
The kittens are eating well and playing and sleeping like crazy.  We are enjoying watching and playing with them.  I have not seen a vet but will be going this Thurs. for vaccinations, the vet does not vaccinate for FIP.  I have had this vet, Dr. Osborne, for my other animals and he is particularly good with (and loving toward) cats.  The boys have decided on the names of Lily and Joy Joy II(in honor of you know who).  So far both of the kittens do not want to come downstairs but enjoy running around upstairs.  They are so affectionate I can see why you miss them.  We will take good care of them and give them lots of love and play time everyday.  Mary

Hello.  We're doing good.  She's my little sweetheart that plops right on you at night.  She'll be occupied for awhile tonight.  I balled up a piece of paper with her.  If it goes down the stairs, she'll run down and bring it back up in her mouth. She's so cute.  I just bought a new car..so it's been busy.  I do like the photo of Skye.  She's been sitting like that since I can remember.  My friend was surprised that she knew to do that so early on.
That's about all the news I can think about right now. Sara
Hi Mary,
The kittens are doing just great.  They are playing, eating and sleeping.  My boys love when the kittens lie on them and sleep/purr.  Both are eating well and looking great.  Today they will enjoy snoozing in the sunshine.  I will send photos soon.  Mary

Hello Mary, I have been meaning to write. I knew you would be curious. We named her Lucey.
I have never heard a kitten/cat talk so much! She is so funny!
She is venturing out into not only the bathroom, but my bedroom, too...all at her own pace.
She comes to me on her own. She LOVES affection. Her appetite is amazing!
She is a little eating machine!
She no longer runs and hides when she sees Elmo, our St. Bernard. She will find a good vantage point and just watch him.
It was nice to meet you, too.
Loretta

Siamese kitty, Mystic, remains adorable and is the center of attention around here.  She is very friendly to all, including visitors (two of whom did not want her attention).  She readily climbs into the lap of any visitor for a pat and a purr.  She's a very loving little kitten.

She tested negative for that feline HIV thing, whatever it is.  We knew she'd be negative, but wanted the peace of mind of knowing.

Not many new photos, but I did make a lousy video consisting mostly of her running around my feet while I tried to keep the camera on her.  Lots of footage of my shoes!

Mystic is blazingly fast when she wants something we might not let her have.  Thus, two or three times she has run into closets or cupboards unobserved and been locked in for a couple of hours.  When we notice she is missing we go on a hunt and find her.  On opening the closet where she is, we are amused at her calm reaction.  She'll be sitting inside with front paws tucked in, slowly stand, stretch, and walk out like nothing happened.  Anyway, out of all this, she has taught us to "take attendance" before closing a closet or cupboard door.

She is eating well and growing.

I guess the number one feature of Mystic that comes to mind is how absolutely affectionate the little thing is.  We can't get over it.  It's amazing.

A couple of photos intended to show off her pretty blue eyes are in a separate e-mail.  Don't think I sent them before.

Thanks again for Mystic.  We love her to pieces!

Gordon

Hi Mary,

Things are going great. Lilly Ann loves to play with our other cat. She chases him all day. She allready has her favorite spot so hid and sleep. Things couldn't be going any better. How long should I give her that food and milk mixture?

                                                                         Sincerely,
                                                                            Tim
